Skip the Frustration: How to Disable Lockpicking and Slicing Minigames

Throughout the campaign and during regular exploration, you’ll encounter two types of minigames that are essential for progressing through certain areas:

  • Lockpicking: This involves watching flashing lights or listening to a series of beeping sounds, then pressing the button at precisely the right moment to unlock a door or container.
  • Slicing: Similar to the game Wordle, this minigame requires you to input the correct code sequence to hack into systems and gain access to restricted areas or information.

While Kay Vess is skilled at slicing (essentially, hacking), the frequency of these minigames can become overwhelming. In some areas, you might find yourself having to complete as many as six or more of these puzzles, which can become frustrating and repetitive. If you find these challenges too tedious, you have the option to disable them entirely by heading into the Gameplay Settings menu. This allows you to focus on the adventure and action without getting bogged down by constant minigame interruptions.
