Bram The Bartender (Canto Blight) Expert

Bram the Bartender is the first Expert that Kay will encounter on her journey. As you progress through the main storyline, Bram assigns you a mission to break into a mansion. Upon reaching the mansion, you’ll be introduced to the Expert system through a quick tutorial, with Bram being the first expert you can utilize.

Bram offers several abilities, though keep in mind that some of these can only be unlocked after you’ve moved beyond Canto Blight:

  • Cantina Brawling: A melee combo attack.
  • Lockpicking: Allows Kay to pick locks on doors.
  • Fast-Talk: Enables Kay to distract a single enemy.
  • Keep Talking: Allows Kay to distract multiple enemies simultaneously.
  • Armored Undershirt: Increases Kay’s maximum health.
  • I Know Someone: Unlocks special Requests.

These abilities add valuable skills to Kay’s arsenal, helping her navigate the challenges ahead more effectively.

Unlock Conditions

Cantina Brawling
Automatically unlocked when Kay reaches the Mansion.

Lockpicking
Unlocked as part of the story once Kay reaches the Mansion.

Fast-Talk
To unlock Fast-Talk, you need to:
– Perform takedowns on distracted enemies.
– Defeat enemies using melee attacks.

The Mansion provides plenty of enemies, making it easy to unlock Fast-Talk early in the game. Use the Takedown ability on enemies to complete the first part of this requirement.

For the second part, use Nix to distract the enemies first. Hold L1/LB to activate Nix, and select an area within an enemy’s line of sight to trigger the Distract option. Once an enemy is distracted, you can perform a takedown to complete the objectives.

Keep Talking
To unlock Keep Talking, you must first:
– Unlock Fast-Talk.
– Defeat enemies affected by Fast-Talk using the Stun Shot.

After unlocking Fast-Talk, use it to distract enemies by pressing the prompt (R3 on consoles) when approaching an alerted enemy. Then, switch to the Stun Shot on your blaster by aiming and pressing R1/RB to take down the distracted enemies.

Armored Undershirt
To unlock the Armored Undershirt, you’ll need to find:
– Coarseweave: This is a common item that can be found throughout the game, either on the ground or when Nix retrieves nearby items for you.
– Ironweave: This can be purchased from Berek Keehro at the Mirogana Market on Mirogana. You’ll need to complete the first main heist on Toshara to unlock the area for exploration.

I Know Someone
To unlock this ability, you need to:
– Meet different Merchants.
– Spend a total of 1,000 Credits across all Merchants.

Simply interact with six different Merchants and make purchases totaling 1,000 Credits. You only need to speak with the Merchants to fulfill the first objective.
